Title: selling gear
Post by: ctroy36 on February 06, 2018, 09:18:46 AM
I need to get rid of all my gear since a couple of fractured vertabrae will keep me from fishing.

I've several rods --carbon fiber and glass -- reels, lines, net, chest waders, wading boots, hip waders,  boxes of tying material, tying bench.

Like to sell it as a package and get it done with. But would consider individual sales if needed.

Can anybody suggest an  outfit or person who handles such sales?

I'm in the Berkshires.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear your about situation.

Concord Outfitters in Concord, MA has done consignment and flyfishing "estate sales"  a number of times.  Owners name is Andy.

Unfortunately it's a long drive for you to deliver the gear, unless you wanted to pay shipping.

Brutal.

Any fly shop usually looks into that stuff.

The Bears Den will consign the rods and the reels for you. Give Scott a call. He gets a 25% cut.

Thanks for the replies.

Can't seem to find contact info for Concord or Bears Den. Also, where is Bears Den located?

This is the bears den website. They have a great show next Saturday at the shop which is free to attend. That will not be a good day to approach Scott about consigning gear. Best to call another day-
