Has anyone ever heard of or used something other than beadchains/lead dumbbells for saltwater weighting?


I guess I'm looking for a saltwater sized beadhead? they make those?


I know I can use lead wire too, just looking at other options.

Thanks, it was really nice to be casting a line let alone catch a fish. Really liking the vintage Orvis a 1955 'Shootin_Star'. Funny they inscribed some with a 'g' and some without. This one is early without. But I am trying a couple of floating lines to put on one of my striper reels to pair up for schoolie fishing. So it was overkill for that fish but fun never the less.

Nice work Jeff, this warmer weather hopefully will put a dent in most ponds and provided no heavy cold snaps, late March open water fishing could take off
