How loosely can streamer be interpreted?  ;D

I'd probably do two patterns

well, if you're doing a pike fly, that's definitely a streamer pattern.... in my opinion :lol

Anything that is casted then retrieved with speed to mimic a baitfish, crabs, shrimp, etc? Is that a good one? I have no idea how to define streamer. :lol

I guess that's a good definition...

Anything that represents a swimming form of food for fish? saltwater or freshwater?

 :beer

12th, or even the 19th would be good for me.  And if you want to do what we did last year than that works for me  :beer  But it does require me obtaining an advanced copy of the 2013 social calendar...and a little more time means I can have more than one beer on tap.

OKAY!!

So Matt since you volunteered (and subject to you cancelling if the need arises)

January 19, 2013 assuming the world doesn't end on December 21, 2012.
@ Matt B's place in Billerica, or mailed to me...

Mandatory 1 Streamer pattern for either saltwater or freshwater for any species.  But if you want to add an Extra pattern, feel free! I'm going to do a couple of I can.

Please let me know what pattern you are going to do, lets assume ZERO duplicates, and first to post HERE what their pattern is, gets it.

works for me.  What's the definition of a streamer?  Any baitfish type thing?
Streamers are designed to resemble some form of baitfish or other large aquatic prey. Streamer flies may be patterned after both freshwater and saltwater prey species. Streamer flies are a very large and diverse category of flies as streamers are effective for almost any type of gamefish.

I had to look this up, The 19th is better for me. No pattern yet but I most likely will make a couple.
Lookingh forward to the gathering, last year was a good time

yeah, to those who weren't there last year, MattB was kind enough to open up his home, his kegs, and his food to us. The chili dish was friggin amazing, and the Brown oat ale? whatever the hell it was, was astounding!

Not Sure where you are coming from Chad, but if you can make the drive to his place... it's worth it!

Sure thing....let me check with my social planning czar, but 19th sounds good to me.  We are trying to get a small project done on the house, so let me just check on that too...

I recently received a shipment of some new fang dangled hops that haven't even made it to the commerical scene yet, so looks like you guys will be some of the first to try it lol

Yes, my plan is to get you all high and steal all the streamers...your on to me.

But the hop is called Mosaic, and is a hybrid/cross between some other very popular hops...few west coast breweries had it last year, and it went into full production/harvest for this years crop.  Who knows, it probably sucks lol

Thanks for offering up your house again Matt.  That was a good time, and it happened to be somewhat centrally located at least for the guys last time.

I hope I can get my contribution squared away before the 19th :-[   Don't think I have tied anything since we all met last
