Half walls up need to wire the outlets...today I'm hoping to build the last bench and pegboard set up.  Then I'll start on trimming it out and doing some of the details, paint, etc.

Then on the backside of it I'm going to put some rod holders and other things for all my other gear.

Very nice, Matt! You could hold classes there to teach others the mastery of classics.

I would teach it, but I don't think anyone really wants to listen to me lol

I always hated not having enough outlets around my old desks, or having to use the powerstrip that never was in the right place.  I picked up a couple of those USB outlets too, and am going to wire those in...although, the one I opened last night only has one set of terminals on it?  I guess I can use it as the last one in the series.

I've somewhat scrapped the drawers idea for the back bench area (left side of the photo), and am going to do some lower cabinets.  I'm not very good at building drawers lol

I need to learn to do wiring. I could use a couple of new outlets.

I need to learn to do wiring. I could use a couple of new outlets.

the key is just test them with a wet finger to see if there is power to the outlet still  :lol  Seriously though, outlets are really rather simple...I still f up the occasional three way switch, but always take a picture of what it looks like BEFORE you pull it all apart.

If your house has the old metal boxes (circa 1950's), you're going to have a hard time fitting some of these newer outlets/dimmers in the boxes sometimes.

I just looked at the USB outlet, hadn't realized you just straighten the wire out and slip both of them under the terminal then tighten it down.

the most wiring I've ever done is change out outlets and switches, lamps etc. I've never wired a new outlet in, or wire anything to the main panel. etc.

Slow progress but me and the little man built the last bench and put up some pegboard on one side.  Coming together.

Very cool Matt.  A pegboard is a gamechanger for flyttying.  I really hate digging in a storage bin trying to inventory material and find things everytime I want to tie a fly
