Ok... Testing the waters
« on: June 27, 2016, 02:55:09 PM »

Who wants to do some form of gathering in the month of August/earlier September. A lot of people have asked for this, so let's figure something out. This might get some of the newbies and lurkers to come out and meet and greet with some of the creepier people on this site in a safe group environment.

Let's start figure out Dates (I'm out for anything during the last week of August/first week of september due to a vaca in ME)

Let's figure out what we are doing.  Do we all just go to a Sportsbar, grab some beers talk some crap? Do we go to a river like location where we can grill up some stuff, cast rods etc? Or is someone volunteering a house for this event. My house is out, it's under construction again.

Do we want to do a fly swap? Maybe a fall specific theme as a one off fly swap thing. or first annual Fallswap??

Start talking about it!  :console

I was actually thinking the same thing....

I think it should be a rule that everyone on this site have some sort of saltwater floatation... kayak at minimum. Morning albies then afternoon bbq/get drunk and pass out on the beach?

Oh yeah dude.. no saltwater bias here at all.
this site is fucked, why do I come here? No saltwater floatation here, unless I can float on Jeffs tampon. I guess I'm out.

There are a couple salter streams nearby, Ryan. I too do not have a floatation device, so maybe we could chase some brookies....

I struggle (and I'm probably not alone) to understand whether your comments are serious, or an attempt at humor. Can you let us know?

Just assume it is humor and laugh.  Only met Ryan once, briefly, and I think even if he is bitching about something seriously, it is still best to just laugh  :lalala  :lol
