Marlboro Show
« on: January 16, 2017, 02:51:18 PM »

So this weekend is the Marlborough Show.

Who else is going? I should be there saturday. Hoping to hit opening, early lunch, and then home by 1. Anyone else going?

I'll likely be there Saturday afternoon. One of the talks I'm interested in is at 4PM :angry

I'm not sure if Scott is exhibiting this year. I know last year they did not exhibit in Marlboro. I ran into him with his son at the show and they had just come from a Boy Scout function. They did exhibit at Denver & Somerset but skipped Marlboro. I'd suggest sending him and email (scott@vedavoo.com) about the pack you want. He also exhibited at the Bear's Den show last year.

I have the Tightlines Deluxe Sling now with a fresh & salt pouch. I just interchange the pouch to switch over. It really works out well for my style, but may upgrade to the Beast Sling for the salt.

Ive checked out his site (several times), I just want to try on the pack before I drop $160 on it.

it's okay, I doubt you're missing anything new :lol It's been the same show that just keeps shrinking every year.

Ryan, Matt & I are going Sunday. We will be there at 9. Attend Currier's seminar at 10:15, find lunch somewhere and then attend Clouser's seminar at 1 before leaving. Let me know if you'll be around then and we can coordinate where to meet.

I ended up hitting up sunday as well. My schedule changed on saturday. took Zoey with me in the morning for a couple of hours.

The show seemed a lot smaller this year. but it always does. A lot more lodges and magazine sales than gear and feathers. However the two things that were cool to see at the show. Sarah Lundstrom, who is a 23 year old smoke show fish painting artist and I think his name was Richard Plourde or something like that. He had a classic salmon fly booth, and he had some incredible feathers and materials for sale. I loved seeing the perfect little package of feathers for like $80 - 250 dollars :lol
