Rod tube storage
« on: November 20, 2017, 05:57:31 AM »

Built this over the weekend. Got sick of stacking tubes in a corner to have them all collapse to the floor. $30 worth of wood. Poplar legs notched out to 5/8". Veneer top and bottom boards. 3" hole saw. 3 rum drinks

You will give me only $20 for my labor?    I will need the money upfront. There will be some minor design changes to align with your payment.

I think I would be better off using the fire wood rack in the background to hold my rod tubes.

Nice work, Chris. But, importantly, what kind of rum went with the build?

You've given me inspiration to build one now that I have more than three rods.

Goslings Black Seal

May just keep the natural color of the wood.  I don't think I will bother staining

Thanks for the inspiration, Chris! I used a couple of solid wood shelves that had been collecting dust in the basement. Struggled a bit with the 3" hole saw on the drill press. Broke out the router, table saw and dado blade to whip this together. I may or may not finish it. It will just sit in a corner in the basement where the rods used to be stacked in a box.
