Nassau
« on: December 26, 2017, 10:21:44 PM »

Been a while since I had time to post here but life is busy, crazy and awesome.
My wife needed to get away during Thanksgiving and chose the Bahamas (Good for me!}
I had a chance to meet up with my buddy Simon and do a little bonefishing for a few days.
Beaches and flats there were bones at each.
We did come around a bend in one area the the commotion in the water was frantic, the splash and waves were so big and loud I figured there were tarpon but it turned out to be a school of bonefish several hundred strong.
I am a better traveller that I am a fisherman but what I can say is there were few times during these days where we couldn't locate fish right away. Fish tailing in the flats or cruising the beach, schooling in the canal or the huge schools crashing through eachother in the ponds. No other fishermen were fishing for them while I was there. I caught my share, missed more saw schools that I could never imagine.
We had a lot of laughs, told some stories and drank a bit of whiskey.
On days that I didn't fly fish with him I broke out the spinning gear and got a warm welcome from a variety of fish off of one of the small rock formations off shore.

So many missed opportunities, a lot of fish fever and casting gremlins

I have known him for about a dozen years and never had an issue.
 I see what others post but my experience has been different.
My expectations may be different than others.
Have you gone with him and had a bad outcome?

No, too many crazy stories to fish with him.  I'm sure he has a lot of happy clients, but man-o-man he has upset some others in a number of different ways.  When I was in Nassau a few years ago, I flew to Andros to fish.
