Cabelas has their spring sale going on, and I'm kicking around the idea of a new 3 or 4wt 4pc fly rod. They seem to change the line up every few days, so its a gamble of when to pull the trigger. I've got a S-load of Cabela gift cards burning a hole in my wallet, so its just a matter of when.

On top of the sale, they offer free shipping on all rods & reels no matter what type & style. That also means no sales tax for Deval  :P  if its shipped to Mass.

Its getting close to spring fishing season, so I'm feeling that I should buy something fishy

So I pulled the trigger today on a new fly rod. A Redington CT model 9' 4pc 4wt from Cabelas. Its usually $149.00 but it was on sale for $75.00 bucks, which is not to shabby. I've already have a Redington CT 7'6" 3wt which casts & feels pretty sweet. So with the new 4wt addition, I should already know what to expect. I also couldn't beat the sale price on this.  ;)

For the most part, Redington puts together a pretty decent product, and with a great warranty.

Springtime is coming!!!

I'll give this one to Ryan at Risen... he has a fly line sale going on right now. $12.50 3-8weights

For the first time ever I think I have more fly lines than reels and spools.

I know Travis is a big fan of Filson-
I just picked up a t-shirt for only $50 http://www.theclymb.com/brand-event/3995/Filson.
Wish they had some upland clothes, but none.

BBS Orvis reel spools for sale. I have the BBS I and love the thing.. but I already have an extra spool for it... I don't see myself ever needing more than 1 extra spool for a 1 - 3 weight :lol

hahahaha Chad that shit always happens to me. I get a new rod and rather than waiting I run out and just grab something, then the thing I wanted is on sale. I'm hoping for an Abel 5 weight to open up soon.

Are you checking ebay?  I've found some great deals on new or like-new gear.

I scan eBay once in a while. Last year I bought my Bauer m4 in mint condition for 100 bucks.
